So, we've decided to make an IRC tutorial. Hope this helps and good luck.
Step 01: Getting the mIRC client and installing
-Go to www.mirc.com
-Click on the link on the left panel that says: Download mIRC
-Then download the latest mIRC client from the links given on that page.
-Double click on the executable that you downloaded.
-The mIRC client installer will begin.
Step 02: Setting up the mIRC client
-When you first start up mIRC, you should see a screen like this
-For Full Name, put in what ever you want, you do not have to give your real full name.
-For Email Address, put in what ever you want, you do not have to give your real email address.
-For Nickname, put in a nick name of your choice, make sure to make it unique.
-For Alternative, put in a an alternative nick name of your choice, just in case your first choice is already being used.
-Ignore the Invisible mode for now.
-Also ignore the New Server Window for now.
-That configuration screen should look something like this
-Click OK.
Step 03: Getting onto a IRC network
-After you pressed OK, your mIRC client should look like this
-Where the green arrow line is pointed in the picture above, type: /server irc.irchighway.net
-If and when you have successfully logged into the IRC network, it should look like this
Step 04: Joining the MangaProject Channel
-For the field below Enter a channel name and click join, type in #MangaProject and click Join
-If and when you have successfully joined the MangaProject channel, it should look like this
-If you don't see the join channel window popup, just type: /join #MangaProject
Hopefully, at this stage, you can start chatting around and observing what others are doing.
